Taking an “intrapersonal” approach to personal branding

Personal branding is the idea of marketing yourself and your career as a brand. It is based on your competencies and values and can be strategically managed to advance your career. 

Whether you realize it or not, you already have a personal brand. Each of us starts out with characteristics that create some kind of impression on others. Your natural brand is based on your personality traits, past experiences, development and interpersonal skills, etc.

My personal branding blog will provide practical steps to help you manage your personal brand. We’ll share insights based on scientific research in areas such as cognitive neuroscience, self-talk, behavioral change, psychology and communication. We hope the resources here will help you discover your unique personal brand and develop your authentic self-image.
